Home from hospital, through the front door

The ramp was in and signed off the week before discharge, so the client came home through the front door rather than being carried.

Council-funded adaptations are most of our work. We also carry out privately funded work for families who want it done the same way.

  • Level-access wet rooms

    Bath and tray conversions with flush floors, falls, seats and rails.

  • Ramps & level thresholds

    Concrete, modular and timber ramps; thresholds brought level.

  • Door widening

    Openings enlarged, lintels fitted, made good and redecorated.

  • Stairlift & through-floor lift prep

    Structural openings, trimming and power, co-ordinated with installers.

  • Ground-floor extensions

    Bedrooms and bathrooms so life can happen on one level.

  • Kitchen adaptations

    Rise-and-fall worktops, knee space, reachable storage.

  • Hoist-ready structural work

    Ceilings strengthened and track routes formed for ceiling hoists.

  • Grab rails & minor works

    Rails, half-steps, lever taps: small jobs done promptly.

  • Dropped kerbs & access paths

    Paths, hardstanding and kerbs to reach the front door.

How a referral works

From OT report to closed file

  1. Referral received

    By phone, email or framework portal. Acknowledged within two working days.

    We measure up and talk with the person who lives there. Joint visits with the OT welcome.
